The Bite: 🦟 Mosquito bites an infected animal (like a dog or coyote) and picks up baby heartworms.
Incubation: Baby worms grow inside the mosquito for 10-14 days until they become infectious.
Transmission: Infected mosquito bites YOUR pet �🐱 and passes the larvae onto their skin.
Migration: Over 6-7 months, larvae travel to your pet’s heart and lungs, growing into adults.
Damage: Adult worms cause severe, silent damage to the heart, lungs, and blood vessels.
